Numark just launched two new entry-level controllers, the Numark Mixtrack Pro FX and the Numark Mixtrack Platinum FX.
The Numark Mixtrack Platinum is one of my favorite DJ controllers ever so the Platinum FX is a welcome upgrade. The big selling points of this controller are the build-in jog wheel LCD screens and the FX paddles coupled to a central FX section. This is a nice touch taken from professional battle mixers such as the Rane Seventy. The price is kept very reasonable at USD 249, making it an interesting offer for starters. The controller is USB powered and supports 4 decks in Serato DJ. It comes with Serato DJ Lite, but you can of course upgrade to Serato DJ Pro if you wish to do so.
The Pro FX is 50 dollars cheaper and costs merely USD 199. It misses the LCD screens and the 4 deck option, but apart from that, it has all the other features, including 24-bit audio from the Platinum FX.
