We reported on the return of the legendary SL-1200 back in January, and today the first batch of 300 units destined for the Japan market sold out…in only 30 minutes, despite the hefty price tag of 356,400 yen (or about USD 3,300) each.

900 additional units will be made available for international sales, but there are no dates know yet on when this will happen.

So hopefully now Panasonic will take this success and build on it, by, for example, releasing a more affordable model that can compete with the Numarks and Pioneers out there.
